Recipes with Ris: Southern Fried Chicken with all the fixins

Ris walks us through her family recipe for Real Southern Fried Chicken. This is not your traditional fried chicken, it's perfectly browned, crunchy and so flavorful!

Your family will absolutely love this Waldo family favorite! And don't worry! Ris even quickly shows you how to make delicious mashed potatoes and crunchy, yummy fried okra!

You won't believe how quickly you can have a 5-star dinner on your table.

DIRECTIONS:

•Soak thighs and/or tenders in our Raw A2 Buttermilk for 10-15 minutes.

•Add flour, salt, pepper, and lemon pepper seasoning to a separate bowl and mix.

•Dredge chicken in flour mixture and place in hot skillet, we like to use our pork lard to fry it up in.

•Brown both sides, then move to a hot oven to finish.

Note: If you only make tenders, you likely will not need to put these in the oven, as they are small enough that they will cook all the way through on the stove top during the browning process. If you decide to do any other cuts, they will need to go into the oven for about 20 minutes at 350 degrees!
